Is it still spring break?

So the kids are off school this week.
The hubs is still home.
I still have tons of work.
I am tee-red.
It was 91 degrees out today...
good thing my mom and dad heat their pool so the kids have a way to cool off.
Tuesday we went to the zoo.
The animals were very cooperative.

So, I need school to be back in session.
And I need hubby to get a job please.
Because I need to work.
Right now...I am a chicken without a head.
I wake up...press shirts...package shirts...ship shirts...entertain family members...return home...make shirts...etc etc etc...and repeat.
Chicken...no head.
I think what is throwing me off is the addition of the big dude here.
I have my system down pat when it is just the girls and I.
They are not the demanding ones.
They do not need to be entertained 24/7.
The big dude...I need him to quit asking me, "what are we doing today?"
(and I know he is reading this)
Well...here is the answer, "I am working!"
The girls will be fed and exercised at some point...no worries...it all works out.
Sigh.

Alright...time to look at cute spring stuff.
It is already quite warm here and well...I ditched half of my closet
(literally...pitched it into bags and gave it all to a friend).
I feel better.
I did each of the girls closets as well.
Pack away winter...and onto summer. We always seem to skip spring here.
It goes from 60 degrees to 90.
The good thing about summer clothes are that they take up way less room than sweaters and jackets huh.
So here are fun springy finds that I would like in my closet.
My clean closet.

The maxi dress...because I like to hide in dresses:)

Cute shorts...although these might be a little short for me...not sure.
 I LOOOOVE this skirt.
Again. I like to hide in long skirts and dresses.
Swimwear..unfortunately...we all need it so we might as well look as cute as possible:)

and of course...a cute pair of sandals
Born always make your feet swoon so I am going to guess these are like
wedge slippers

Ok...I am off to try this It's a 10 combo in my hair as my last lightening left me a tad
broomstick-ish...so here's to deep conditioning.
I have done a little research and apparently the two together make a great mask.
I will let you know if they help.

Here's what I learned this morning...

That one of my kids is a nut...a very pale nut
with long legs that I have no idea where they came from...or when
(look...there's the blanky...she is like linus)
then I learned that my other one is also a nut
this was her "teen vogue" pose...ooooookkkkkkay;)
I also learned that I LOVE Tracey and her new skirts.
She sent me a couple skirts.  I am in awe of them.
I forced her to open an etsy shop and show her ruffley love to the world.
So now...guess what...you get to stalk her etsy shop :)

This was actually our St. Pattie's day skirt...but someone found a way to "make it work"
for everyday...which makes me happy because I do love pink/green.
And that she definitely is my kid
I also learned that George officially has the largest nose I have ever seen on a dog
aaaaaaaand...I learned that I have alot of work to do...so off I go

Fun New Finds!

I just finished listing some super cute new items that I loved...so I assume everyone will.
Hmmm...nice thought process huh.
Never the less...who can resist a pom pom.
These are so cute.
Kids will find a million places to clip them to.
or...how about this purse clip...to which I have already taken one for my purse
(as pictured:)
Or a Friends Forever headband with rhinestones?
How about a super cute apron?
Or a funky leather bracelet.
I love all of these new finds...which you can check out here if love them too.
That's all.  More quirky things will pop up this week.
Why? Because I am in a very quirky mood so there you have it:)

Seriously!

So my kids have been taking roller skating lessons.
Yes.  You read that correctly.
$5...an hour long lesson and then an hour of free skating.
You can't do ANYTHING for $5 these days.
Sure it is in a totally skeevy area of town.
Whatever.  They like it.
And well...we still have a long way to go.
Rollerskating is not all that easy.
Needless to say, I have been looking for a new pair of rollerskates for Ainsley since
her birthady is coming up in a couple weeks and her old skates are too small for her.
Let me tell YOU...this opened up an entire new world to me.
LOOK at these.
OMG.
Moxie Skates...they are to skating what Electra Bikes are to cruising.
I heart these.

and THESE
Now NO...these are not for kids.
But wow.
I would proudly skate with them in these little puppies.
Speaking of.
I skated last weekend with the girls.
Have not rollerskated in maybe 20+ years and well
...owwww.
Sore legs.
I have no idea how kids skate for 2 hours and still want to keep going after that.
Never the less...my quest for cute kids skates continues.
You know I will find some cute ones.

Check this out.
I love Urban Outfitters.
They have the craziest finds sometimes.
I had this toy. I am sure many of you did as well.
I LOVED this toy.
I might need it again lol.

I listed a couple new Easter Tees in the shop yesterday.
I think this is it for Easter Options.
I am really behind on the Holiday options and I SHOULD be working a good 6 months to a year out.
So if you are waiting for other Easter options...don't wait too long:)
and a new Skull tee...for those pirate birthday parties:)

Today I got my hair "did" today.
Whoo hoo.
This was big.  Haven't had it done in quite awhile.
It is mighty blonde now...which make me actually look like I am related to my kids:)
This is what I do though.  Blonde...blonder...blooooonde...brown....and repeat:)
I should have taken a photo.
Maybe tomorrow.
In the mean time I am off to "exfoliate".
Honestly...if your skin is looking a little dull...this is the great product ever.
LOVE it.
Warning...it might be a little strong if you have sensitive skin.
Me....soooo not sensitive...unless you are waxing my brows....then holy schnapp sensitive!
The Brazillian Peel from Sephora...amazing.

As soon as the sun goes down...

The strangest thing is happening to me.
My eyes are getting bad.
Like..."need to hold the medicine bottle 2 feet from my face to read it" bad.
Don't get me wrong...my eyes are terrible to begin with.
-7.75 bad.
Oooo ya.
But now they are kinda blurry/fuzzy/annoying.
We knew that would happen staring at 2 and 3mm rhinestones for years.
I am fine in good light during the day.
It is when the sun goes down that it is starting to be a challenge.
Perhaps this is my bodies way of telling me I need to stop working until 10 pm every night.
Nahhhh.

Whatever.  No worries.  I do what I do yo yo.
I don't really have much new to tell you.
Tomorrow...when the sun comes back up, I can take a couple Easter Tee pictures.
Also...I wanted to share some cute hair pom poms that I stocked this week.
You can get them here....lots of colors to choose from.

Here is what you do with them.
So check out the colors.
The red/white/blue is PERFECT for 4th of July.
And the lime/pink is my favorite.
Ainsley wanted to wear all of them...she was not impressed when I told her they were for the shop.
Tough luck kid:)

Now, you know this pattern
...I think it needs to be done for dance and gymnastics and what else?
If you have an idea...let me know.
But peace, love, dance is cute yes?
oh my...someone was sitting at my desk while I was taking photos tonight.
Nut ball.

Is it just me or is the Universe sending out some crazy bad vibes so far this year.
I know so many people that are having horrible things going wrong.
What is up with this?
We need to turn this around.
So far...I hate 2011.
And since the Mayan calendar says 2012 we are all donzo...2011 should be fun no?
Hahahah.  Terrible.
No, I do not believe the world is going to self implode in 2012...at least I hope it isn't.
That would be a shame...and I never got to go to Atlantis (my dream vaca).

So my head is hurting.
I had a couple sugar free chocolates and my tummy is now revolting against the rest of my body.
I think I am calling it a night.

Or my ipad and I are heading to bed.
If you are bored...send my smurf village something cute like a heart bush please:)

Spring is in the air

It was 78 degrees here today.
Not in my office.  My office remains pretty dark actually.
But when I venture outside, I am always pleasantly surprised by how lovely it is.
Then I crawl like a mole back into my office...and put on a sweater and I am still cold.
Because...I am always cold.  Always.
This is why I actually don't mind the Az summers.
Because it takes 110 degrees to finally warm me up.

So in the event that you live somewhere and you truly have a reason to be frozen.
(unlike me...I will quit complaining now)
Here are some spring pretties to let you know that there IS a light at the end of the frigid cold tunnel.

 love these wedges from Anthropologie.

Free People never lets me down.

And in the event that you are heading somewhere to unthaw soon...
you may need a new swim suit.
Courtney sent me this link not long ago and all I can say is wow.
I have not seen suits like these in a long time.
Where have I been?
They even have kids suits.
Ok.  Time to take my advil and soak my arm in Icy Hot (did I mention my icy hot addiction?).
My little combo seems to stop my arm pain and see me through to about 2 or 3 am.
Good enough for me at this point.
I'll take it.

Nite.

And once again...thank you to all my well wishers.
You guys rock.
And to my anonymous commenter who's husband lost his job this week.
My heart is with you.  It sucks chickie. But you are not alone.
Once you pick yourself up off the floor from the shock of it...
you will realize that the world is not ending.
You may even appreciate your new in house personal chef:)
This morning...I had a lovely egg combo breakfast delivered right to my desk.

You may also notice that I redid the blog a little.
I just wanted a change...this was not the change I meant...but since I had no idea what
I wanted it to look like...I was too deep in and lost interest.
Sad but true.  So...it may be changing again in the next couple days.
But I did start my list of stuff I like to read.
I don't have much time to surf the web but it helps when all my favorites are listed to the side.
I will add more tomorrow.  In the mean time...check them out and if you have a fabulous blog
or anything that gives you inspiration on the web...let me know in the comments.
You know what I like.

1.3.11

Holy bad mood batman

Wow.  Today I am nasty.
I deserve to be sent to a private island (ahhhhh) all my myself.
Actually...I am even irritating MYSELF today.
Yup...that is possible.
You know what I am doing?
I wear moccasins all the time and just the "shuffling" sound of
my own feet make me wanna slap myself!

So this morning...I sent my girl off to school very upset.
This has in turn ruined my entire day.
I really hope it didn't ruin hers.
But I am going to venture to guess that she has not had a smooth one herself.
I was kinda at the end of my rope this morning.
If there is anything in this world that I detest...it is being late.
My dad is responsible for this.
When he was ready to go...everyone had like 15 seconds to be ready or...
well...
I am not sure or what would happen.
I was just never late.
So...it is my destiny to raise my children to be like that.
Early birds.
However...my husbands "lingering" attitude is weighing them down.
So the mix is one kid that is always bouncy and ready to go...and a lolligagger.

This is my lolligagger.
(with her henna art from art class yesterday)

I wake my kids up an hour and a half before school to give them plenty of time to get ready.
Today...the big chick ran outta time.
She ran outtta time to put her contacts in
..the contacts that she now loves.
So she went off to school with her glasses
and tears in her eyes
and an irritated mom because...well...I give her plenty of time to do everything.

Sigh.
You see...I am annoying myself all over again.

I stopped myself from going to school 6 times today just to give her a hug.
I love her so.
She is such a good easy kid.
She is just slow.
As molasses.
It irks me.
I am hoping this mornings debacle will make her speedy quick tomorrow.
But...I doubt it.
Such trivial things.
Can you say hormonal (me).

But check out that henna art!
She came home and told me it was sharpie.
I didn't fall for it.

I get to hug her in an hour.
I am such a sucker.
But I need a hug.

Speaking of that...check out what my super sweet customer Connie sent me!
Out of the blue....for no reason!
Ahhhh...so sweet.
Thank you Connie!

And then check out these pillows that Jordon ordered.
I hope she loves them...I know I do.
I really need to restock my pillows.
Honestly...I forget these things.
I am ordering stuff all the time
and then I forget about something else.
I have meant to do another batch of pillows for 2 weeks now.
I am off to do it now...so if there is a particular color you would like to see
...let me know or forever hold your peace.
