CPSIA madness and Etsy update!

Morning! Alrighty...so...I got back some of my testing from the lab on my stones and items that I embellish. Everything passed with flying colors. I still have more product out to another lab...but basically...I am stickin with it! So. Whatever happens with this CPSIA thingy-ma-gingy...I am not done. Closing up shop was not an option...I hope I am just on my way up! So just be assured that all items will be approved and you can't get rid of my bling just yet!

In the mean time...I have several items that I have been meaning to list on my totally empty etsy page....as in...for the past 3 months I have been meaning to load them. Nothing like a deadline to make you do stuff. These will be items that you have not seen from me before...totally different...but still super cute! And all at fabulous prices because well...I was not planning on testing them and so they need to go by Feb 10th. So...please check here shortly, as this is my plan for the next couple of days. First of course I need to take some pics...but stick with me...they will be loaded very soon! As soon as I figure this etsy thing out...as I have never listed anything on etsy before. I was just getting the hang of ebay. Ha.

If all goes well and I find some extra time (ya right) I have yards and yards of FABULOUS fabrics that perhaps I can whip into little skirts or something fun...that was my plan forever...but if I don't get off my computer and get my bootay to work...this will not be happening...but at least my kids closest will be full!

Ok..I just found this artist off my friend Loraines blog...Jenny T Designs...how cute are they? And look...she already has the artwork for my girls done! Hello...nothing ever has their names spelled correctly. Thus the reason why I had to take it into my own hands and make shirts, leggings and headbands myself! Ha.

Just some of my favorite things...

So I was thinking (constantly) about this CPSIA thing...and I don't know that people truly grasp the scope of it. Plus dohdoh birds keep reporting wrong info about it...like they did on our local news last night. Never the less, at this moment...if you happen to come across a clothing, toy or anything else designer that makes stuff for kids...and they tell you this does not effect them...they are wrong. Really wrong. So. I decided to share some of my favorite things that I pray will still be around after this nightmare...but I am thinking some of them won't. Like these cute dresses from etsy. I love them. They are made out of recycled material and they are truly one of a kind...and after Feb 10th...she legally cannot sell them anymore unless she gets them tested. Sad. Alright...so you get the idea of what I am saying. It is now or never for some of these things. I just ordered one of these yesterday for valentines day...because I love them...and I somehow don't think these are coated with lead...do you? Or what about these...or these...or these...I LOVE THEM ALLLLLLL! Sniff sniff. And some are doing closeouts...so you can get them at super prices as well...like these... We have a dress from this etsy seller...her sewing is impeccable (how the heck do spell that word???) truly fabulous. She is a professional...and she won't be allowed to sell these one of a kind dresses and shirts anymore! Now sure...life will go on...but for a zillion people...it will never be the same...or nearly as fun and colorful. Sure we can live without these...but why should we have to? Do these really look like a biohazard? Plus...the economic impact this will make...I swear it could be staggering. Think of all the moms at home making stuff like these...and doing a damn good job of it...making it possible that she can stay home with her kids and add to the family income. Now what? No seriously...now what is that mom supposed to do.

Sigh. Ok...I am done. I will quit talking. But don't say I didn't warn ya...these may or may not be gone in a month.

Alright alright...I am addicted to kids clothes...so what...

2 of my favorite places to get kids clothes are having MAJOR sales right now. You see...part of the beauty of living in Arizona is that we never REALLY have winter here. Our winter is like a cool spring day in the rest of the country. SO...we pretty much can wear summer clothes all year with a sweater...or long sleeved tee. Anyways...I like clearance sales. Who doesn't? This week I have found super deals and the beauty is...you can shop in your jammies! First...Matilda Jane is having a super sale...SUPER. Denise is so good at what she does over there...that woman is gooood...and so sweet. She is a very nice chick. If you are reading my blog...then you are probably already quite aware of her stuff...if you have never been to her site...grab your wallet...you will for certain be buying something...especially at those prices...HELLO!

My second favorite place is a store out of California. I think they have about 7 stores now...one in scottsdale...which I was at yesterday. Everything was on sale. And I love it all. Their quality is unbelievable. My favorite is their surf line...everything has a california surf feel to it and it is sooo incredibly soft...they need to make some pieces in mom's sizes...I promise I will buy them. The sweats and the sweatshirts...they are like butter. (I think I have posted about them before...but that must mean I really mean it!) Peek...aren't you curious! Go there...now. Super sale. Super quality. Just fun stuff for boys and girls. I love it all. Bought a bunch yesterday...and more online now because well...I didn't see some of this stuff in the store yesterday! When you check out their site...check out the denim...we already have the denim capris and miniskirt...it is the softest denim ever...EVER!

If you never listen to another word I say...

I keep forgetting to spread the word on this jacket. My sister gave me one for xmas in a blue/grey color and I swear on my Juicy hoodie collection that this is THE greatest thing to hit my wardrobe yet. Now...if you are Ms. Sophisticated lady...then stop reading now...BUT...if you are like me and live in comfy clothes...and think wearing a pair of Sevens is dressing up...then you and I...we are one! Anyways...I have the lululemon hoodies in about 10 different colors...yes I do...so what! BUT...this jacket...the lululemon savasana jacket...oh...my...god...you need one! I tell ya...the picture does not do this thing one bit of justice...honestly. This is the greatest jacket of all TIME! You can button the collar in about 18 different ways...ok...maybe not 18...but probably 5 or 6. It is just...well...it brings a tear to my eye. So now I need it in a different color. Ha.

update: ok...I lied...I don't have the jackets in 10 different colors...I have 14...14 freakin lulu jackets...geesh...it looks kinda bad when I write it down like that.

New Years Resolutions...urgh

Alright alright...here it goes. So I still have my hives...nice. But the CPSIA is still causing me major stress as well! Ha. Never the less...I have been to the Drs many times this week...I am on major steroids at the moment...and for the first time in awhile I woke up this morning hive free! Yay. However I have a tummy that is pretty freakin sick of medicine. Anyways. I think I am going to have to go on a major cleanse aka...eat nothing fun...until I figure out what is truly causing my issues. Goodbye my sacred Starbucks green tea frappy! I figure if that is not good enough to cause me to drop a couple lbs in the process then I am destined to have the body I have. SO...there is my weight resolution. Vowing to go to the gym everyday would probably be easier than eating plain rice for a week. Good lord. SO...I need another resolution. And I am not sure which one I am going to force it on. It may be me...it may be one of my kids...it may be all three of us...BUT..for the past 3 years these two guitars have been living in our house and NOONE knows how to play them. So I am determined for one of us to figure it out this year...otherwise it is just truly a crime for these little beauties to go untouched don't you think! And when I go on the Daisy Rock site I literally drool and want another one. What is with me and guitars? I know how to play the piano...and there is one right in our hall...but I have ALWAYS wanted to learn how to play the guitar...so there..I have written it...now I need to figure out my gameplan.

So we are spending this New Years like the past 10 or so New Years...we go to my mom and dads...bbq steak and lobster and everyone goes to sleep by 10. Ha. Although this year I have decided to tack on an extreme case of hives. I am just going to blame the CPSIA for this thank you very much. Since I have no clue what is causing them exactly I might as well blame my main source of stress. Never the less I tried Allegra and Flonase last night only to find that I was allergic to one of them and I managed to stop the damage at just my lips puffing up to fat albert proportions...and well now I get to spend my first week of the New Year doped up on prednisone. Anywhoo...I wish you all a very Happy New Year. I will be sleeping for most of mine. And since I don't have anything really to post here...I will leave you with pics of my chicks opening a gift from their "aunt" Kristine who thinks the girls are worthy of the Juicy Couture Barbies and Tarina Tarantino bracelets...(that I fully intend on stealing from my children to go with my own Tarina collection!)
